Presentation of three perpetual awards for services of volunteers at Scoresby Magpies Juniors. Recognition of their valuable service to the Club:-
1. Tirhatuan Award
2. Club Person Award
3. Parent Award
(1) “Tirhatuan Award” – Awarded to a Committee or Sub-Committee Member
The “Tirhatuan Award” is named after our Council Ward. The Award pays recognition to a Committee or Sub-Committee member who has volunteered their time and effort, above what is expected of a volunteer. This individual’s unpaid efforts have made the Club a stronger and more professional environment for the benefit of the players, families and the local Community.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Served a minimum of 2 years as a volunteer Committee or Sub-Committee Member with the Club;
2. Attended 75% of all Committee meetings;
3. Undertakes an active role in assisting Club initiatives, programs or services to the families;
4. Complies with the Code of Conduct and promotes Club values;
5. Conducts themselves in a professional and ethical manner.
Nominated by: The elected Committee Members.
Presented by: Local Ward Councillor or a person selected by the Committee.
(2) “Club Person Award” – Awarded to a Team Official
The “Club Person Award” is to recognise a Team Official who has rendered outstanding service to the Club. Their dedication and enthusiasm in the interests of developing the players, is further demonstrated in volunteering for an appointed position as a Team Official during the current football season.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Served a minimum of 2 years as a Team Official with the Club;
2. Team Official – Coach, Assistant Coach, Team Manager or Team Trainer;
3. Undertakes an active role in assisting Club initiatives, programs or services to the families;
4. Complies with the Code of Conduct and promotes Club values;
5. Maintains a standard of behavior & conduct in the best interests of the game, players, parents, Club officials and opposition teams;
6. Can also hold a position on the Committee or sub-Committee.
Nominated by: The Committee & Sub-Committee Members.
Presented by: President.
(3) “Parent Award” – Awarded to a Parent
The “Parent Award” acknowledges the valuable contribution that non-officials make to the Club. Formal recognition of outstanding service to the Club, Team Officials and the players. Demonstrated history of continuous excellent service to the Club over a minimum of two football seasons.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Membership with the Club for at least 2 years;
2. Undertakes an active role in assisting Club initiatives, programs or services to the families;
3. Complies with the Code of Conduct and promotes Club values;
4. Maintains a standard of behavior & conduct in the best interests of the game, players, parents, Club officials and opposition teams;
5. Willingness to provide support beyond the requirements of a parent;
6. Promotes a positive and friendly attitude, with a strong commitment to teamwork, both on and off the field;
7. Excludes a parent who is a member of the Committee or sub-Committee.
Nominated By: Team Managers with a final vote by the Committee and Sub-Committee.
